Mother’s Day Brunch 2022: Book Near Studio City

LOS ANGELES, CA – Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 8 is almost here, and if you’re planning to treat your mom to brunch or dinner out, reservations can fill up quickly in Los Angeles as the nation nears the most normal celebration of moms since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

BOA STEAKHOUSE: On May 8, a special Mother’s Day brunch buffet is planned (11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. / $95 per person), with a surf & turf carving station, breakfast classics, a seafood bar, fried chicken, ribs, Wagyu tacos, sushi, BOA’s signature caesar salad and more. BARISH AT HOLLYWOOD ROOSEVELT: Treat Mom like the grande dame she is with Mother’s Day dining at Barish on May 8 from noon to 5 p.m. The recently opened steakhouse concept by award-winning James Beard chef Nancy Silverton, is crafting a special menu to include dishes such as caviar and oysters, baby Dutchman with strawberries and rhubarb, rigatoni squash with goat cheese and baked brie with honey and pistachio. THE PIE HOLE: Treat Mom to the iconic Pie Shop Pie Holes – bite-sized pies with pie filling inside, baked in a buttery crust and topped with icing special. Several chain restaurants and other restaurants are open for Mother’s Day this year, and some are offering specials.

Below are a few options to get you started, ranging from casual to fine dining. As always, it is advisable to call ahead to ensure restaurants in YOUR PATCH TOWN are participating and to inquire about any restrictions or limitations related to COVID-19.

Applebee’s is adding a $10 bonus card with the purchase of a $50 gift card for Mother’s Day and other special occasions, including graduations and Father’s Day.

Bob Evans offers brunch meals made with fresh cut strawberries. Its take-out meals feed up to six people, and they’re available for curbside pickup or delivery when customers order online.

The Bonefish Grill is open for dine-in and take-out on Mother’s Day. Her ‘Family Bundles’ meals include salad, fresh bread and pesto, plus homemade cookies

The Capital Grille is accepting reservations for Mother’s Day. The restaurant included a “courtesy notice” on its booking page stating that “to better deliver on our promise of a fine dining atmosphere, proper dress is required.” This excludes sportswear, sweatpants, tank tops, hats, clothing with offensive language or imagery, and exposed underwear.

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar opens early at 11 a.m. on May 7 and 8 with its 3-course Mother’s Day menu featuring hand-cut filet mignon and a choice of dinner pairing.

Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chão offers a ready-to-heat Mother’s Day celebration package that feeds six people and offers a choice of fire-roasted meats, sides and desserts. Meals must be ordered at least 24 hours in advance and are available all day on May 7 and until 10:30 a.m. on May 8.

Kona Grill offers a weekend brunch special with deals on mimosas and signature brunch dishes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, including Mother’s Day.

Morton’s, The Steakhouse is accepting reservations for Mother’s Day and will also be bringing mom’s meal to select locations.

Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse is offering its Mother’s Day prix-fixe meal, including an appetizer, main course, side and dessert, May 6-8.

Fresh seasonal grills 52 | The Wine Bar offers Mother’s Day brunch from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and offers its evening menu all day. It also offers a green box for Mother’s Day that serves six people. Orders must be placed by May 2.
