Studio City hiker airlifted after Fryman Canyon fall

STUDIO CITY, CA – A woman was airlifted to hospital after falling and sustaining an apparent broken ankle while hiking on or near the Fryman Canyon Trail in Studio City on Saturday, authorities said .

The fall was reported at 1:43 p.m. near the 8400 block of West Mulholland Drive, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

“She is being treated and stabilized by the first LAFD ground crews who have arrived on foot to her location, and will soon be hoisted aboard a hovering LAFD rescue helicopter to continue in-flight care during transport. direct to an area hospital,” Humphrey wrote in a statement. .
