For some “Jeopardy!” fans, there will be no better host than the late host Alex Trebek.
Although fans were pleased with “Jeopardy!” GOAT Tournament Winner Ken Jennings and former star of “The Big Bang Theory” Maim Bialik in turn, fans can’t help but miss the stability the late Trebek seemed to bring.
Sadly, 80-year-old Trebek passed away on November 8, 2020, after losing his battle with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. His wife, John Trebekis finally ready to part ways with the house where she and Alex have spent much of their lives.
‘Peril!’ Notice to fans: Alex Trebek’s house is for sale!
When Alex and Jean first married in 1991, they bought the mansion for $2.15 million. It was there, in Studio City, that the couple raised three children in the 5-bedroom, 11-bathroom home.
The list was posted by Alex Trebek’s daughter, Emilie Trebekwho is a real estate agent through Compass.
According to the listing, the home is “an amazing opportunity to create your dream home in one of Studio City’s most idyllic settings. First on the market in over 25 years!”

Take a look at these photos!
Trebek’s home has an impressive manicured lawn in front of the Studio City mansion that features a classic Mediterranean design.
The entrance to the Trebek House has a classic and elegant style, with two staircases on either side of the main foyer.
The Trebek House offers its guests plenty of natural light, with beautiful patio arches lining the domed ceiling.
Looks like the dining room has not one but two sets of small tables. Many fans love the red and beige color scheme!
Take a look at this kitchen! The kitchen has a more rustic vibe with wooden floors and wood cabinetry that contrasts sharply with the classic elegant touches in the dining room.
While we can bet the late Trebek entertained many visitors in the dining room, he probably enjoyed a casual dinner with his family at the rustic dining table just outside the kitchen. A small TV screen sits on a stand on the right side of the room. A couch sits in a small living room behind, with what appears to be a sewing machine on one of the desks. A craft room, perhaps?
Take a look at this bedroom! The bedroom looks fit for a king…or at least one of the most famous game show hosts of all time! There is a small desk in the corner of the room. Maybe this is where Trebek answered his fan mail?
It is an impressive mirror! Although the bathroom is extremely cramped, it’s almost hard to believe that this long counter contains only one sink!
This bathroom has lots of mirrors and white cabinets for a more modern feel. It contrasts with the armchair and tub in the corner which give the house a more antique feel. And take a look at these floor tiles!
Speaking of modern, take a look at this home theater! The red plush rug provides the ultimate home movie watching experience! These plush chairs look super comfy too!
It was no secret that the late Trebek loved to read and check out all those books! Let’s just hope his kids weren’t trying to watch movies while he was trying to study!
One of the many attractive features of the house is its impressive bar! It looks like something out of a movie set!
Who could say no to an elegant brunch or a cool iced tea on the patio while watching the kids splash around in the pool?
The Trebek property has an impressive swimming pool, complete with a slide. It is surrounded by foliage to ensure lots of privacy!
Another photo of the pool to help residents escape the California sun!
The back yard features an impressive garden with a brick lined driveway. There are plenty of fountains and cherub statues scattered throughout to give the house a sophisticated feel.
Interested buyers should contact Emily Trebek…this home won’t be on the market long!
